Abstract

729,650. Shuttering supports. SCAFFOLDING (GREAT BRITAIN), Ltd., and RICHARDS, L. S. June 11, 1953 [April 21, 1952], No. 10022/52. Class 20 (2). A beam, particularly for supporting floor &c. shuttering, comprises a length 14, Fig. 2, of timber or other material which at one end is telescopically received within a bracket 16 having screw clamps 17 and 18 for rigidly securing it at a desired position in relation to the beam, and having an outward wall-engaging projection 23, which is vertically displaceable by a screw adjusting means 26, 27, 28, so that the height of the beam may be adjusted. The other end of the length 14 of timber may be telescopically received in a similar bracket or may be laid in an opentopped bracket 30, Fig. 6, having a fixed wallengaging projection 23 and a height-adjusting screw-plate 31.
