Abstract

513,472. Brackets for curtain rails. FRENCH & SONS, Ltd., T., and FRENCH, G. F. April 11, 1938, No. 7594. [Class 52 (v)] A curtain-rail bracket consists of a rectangular open-ended portion, with holes for a vertical or horizontal fixing screw in its sides, an upper horizontal limb b extending from the side a and a lower horizontal limb c which extends from an upwardly extending slotted portion e. The rail is gripped by the lower limb c when the fixing screw is tightened, the horizontal screw, when used, passing through the slot in the portion e the upper end of which may be bent down to abut against the screw. A boss f on the upper limb b limits the movement of the lower limb c. The side a may be provided with side flanges to engage recesses in the position e. To enable the bracket to be reversed, as shown in Fig. 7, the limb b may have a lug g and a clamping screw h to hold the rail.
