A curtain rail bracket comprises a strip of metal bent to form vertical and horizontal limbs 9, 11, with holes 5, 6 for fixing screws and slit at opposite sides near one end to leave a tongue 3 and underhanging lateral abutments 13 against which the rail 17 is clamped by a screw 15 in the downturned end 4 of the tongue 3.
