Abstract

473,669. Curtain rail brackets. VELLERE, A. E., BENCE, A. A., and BERRY, W. R. April 23, 1936, No. 11559. [Class 52 (v)] Brackets for supporting window furnishings of the kind adapted to project horizontally from the window frame, wall, &c. and provided with offset tongues 2, 3 pressed out of the projecting limb 1 for carrying one or more girder-section curtain rails, have provision for supporting the underside of a valance rail or rails. As shown the end of the limb 1 is bent into U -formation 8, and a waist or horizontal slot is provided at 10 for receiving a valance hook. A second channel 12 may be provided which, with the channel 8 supports a box pelmet. A support for a round curtain rod may also be provided. The anchorage limb 9 has keyhole slots. For intermediate brackets the anchorage limb is turned upwards and has one keyhole slot only or is omitted, a keyhole slot being provided in the limb 1. A web may connect the two limbs of the bracket.
