Abstract

602,154. Drawing curtains. FRENCH & SONS, Ltd., T., FRENCH, G. F., FRENCH, R., and AINSLIE, J. March 18, 1946, No. 8263. [Class 52(v)] A pelmet comprises a central portion having upper and lower channel edges a<1> in which the front parts of the end portions b are adapted to slide to adjust the length of the pelmet the portions b being curved as shown or bent at right angles to abut on to the window frame. The central portion is provided with strips c having hooks d engaging over the top edge of a valance rail e the under edge of which is engaged for supporting purposes by a bracket f adapted to be secured to the window frame. An additional bracket g is provided below the bracket f and is adapted to hold the curtain rail h by means of a flange g<1> and screw i. In addition the end portions b may have loops j with which engage a two-part bracket comprising two parts kl, k<2> pivoted together and adapted to be secured to the window frame by a screw engaging the slotted face of the part k<2>.
