Abstract

384,374. Suspending curtains. SMITH & DAVIS, Ltd. and SMITH, H. F., Beacon Works, Hampton Street, Birming- ham. Sept. 10, 1931, No. 25372. [Class 52 (v).] A curtain rail supporting bracket has two spaced parts, to abut against the rail, and a rail engaging member disposed between the parts, means being provided to draw the rail engaging member towards the bracket to grip the rail. In the construction shown the bracket 1 has a pair of spaced vertical flanges 10 to abut against the top flange of a rail 12 which passes through a slot in a member 8 disposed between the flanges and provided with a stud 7 projecting through a slot 4 in the bracket and engaged by a nut 11. The slot 4 permits adjustment of the member 8 along the length of the bracket. An adjustable extension 13, for a valance rail 19, may be provided.
