Abstract

A pair of mirror image wall-mounting units is provided for supporting both a curtain pole and valance pole. Each unit has a lower part (Fig 3) with mounting holes 3, grooves 1,2 for receiving the poles and a demountable upper cover (Fig 6) whose pegs 2 are received in holes 4 of the lower part. Fig 5 shows a blanking piece 1 which slides into a slot (1, Fig 2) at the rear of the grooves; this piece may include a rod 2 (Fig 4) to support the valance at the side of the unit.

DEMOUNTABLE CURTAIN & VALANt ;. UN1''S (Technical Field) THIS INVENTION RELATES TO TWO DEMOUNTABLE CURTAIN & VALANCE UNITS.
(Background) THESE UNITS ARE MADE TO FIT ABOVE WINDOWS AND DOORS BY FIXING TO A WALL WITH TWO SCREWS TO HANG CURTAINS AND VALANCES EACH UNIT IS MADE INAMIRROR IMAGE OF THE SAME.
(Essential) ACCORDING TO THIS INVENTION THERE ARE TWO DEMOUNTABLE UNITS IN A MIRROR IMAGE OF EACH OTHER (Technicat) y COMPRISING TWO UNITS FOR HANGING CURTAILS AND VALANCES WITH POLES.
(Example) A SPECIFIC EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION WILL L NOW BE DESCRIBED BY WAY OF EXAMPLE WITH REFERENCES TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWING IN BTICH ib Fig 1 shows left hand side unit in position.
Fig 2 shows back & sides with a slot for Fig 4 & 5.
Fig 3 shows half unit with two grooves 1 & 2 1 being groove for valance pole 2 being groove for curtain pole 3 wich are two holes for fixing unit to wall with screws 4 are holes for pins 2 in Fig 6. s.
Fig 4 shows a slide land a small L shaped pole 2 w ; eh fits in slot 1 in fig 2 so valance can go round comer of unit fig 1 valance slides on to pole 2 in fig 4 Fig 5 shows a blank without a pole I in fig 5 is shown at back of grooves 1 & 2 in fig 3 Fig 6 shows top of unit I in fig 6 2 shows pins in fig 6 to fit into 4 in fig 3 fig 6 can be used for aunimental use on top all remountable as in fig 1.

CLAIMS 1 TWO DEMOUNTABLE UNITS FOR HANGING CURTAINS AND VALANCES WHICH ARE A MIRROR IMAGE OF THE SAME (Claimed in 1) 2 TWO DEMOUNTABLE UNITS WITH SLIDE (Claimed as in 2) 3 TWO DEMOUNTABLE UNITS WITH TWO GROOVES FOR CIRTAIN & VALANCE POLES (Claimed as in 3) J TWO DEMOUNTABLE UNITS WITH FIXING HOLES (Claimed as in 3) 5 TWO DEMOUNTABLE UNITS WITH HOLES FOR PINS (Claimed as in 3) TWO DEMOUNTABLE UNITS WITH SLIDE & POLE (Claimed as in 4) z TWO DEMOUNTABLE UNITS WITH BLANK SLIDES (Claimed as in 5) TWO DEMOUNTABLE UNITS WITH TOPS (Claimed as in 6) I TWO DEMOUNTABLE UNITS WITH PINS (Claimed as in 6) Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 1. A Demountable curtain and valance unit comprising of two members, first member in the form of a right angle unit, one side thereof providing a means for screws to be inserted for securing to a wall, one side thereof comprising of two semi circular groves for the purposes to support a curtain pole and valance pole, groves being adapted to allow the poles to lift on and off without securement means, a slot being adapted to locate a blank portion or slide and pole portion. A second member in the form of a right angled cap, the cap being adapted to locate on top side thereof first member.
  2. 2. A Demountable curtain and valance unit as claimed in claim 1, wherein grooves are provided on the first member to allow a curtain or valance pole to be simply lifted on or off the first member.
  3. 3. A Demountable curtain and valance unit as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2, wherein slot is provided to allow a blank portion to be located to prevent sliding movement for said poles or an slide and pole portion which provides a means in which valance can be extended around a corner.

  4. 4. A Demountable curtain and valance unit as claimed in claim 2 or claim 3, wherein securement means with cap is provided by a series of holes which locate with downwardly extending portions of cap.
  5. 5. A Demountable curtain and valance unit as claimed in claim 4, wherein cap is provided for the means to place ornaments or similar onto said invention for decorative purposes.
  6. 6. A Demountable curtain and valance unit as claimed in any preceding claim, wherein both first and second members may be provided as a mirror image of the same.
  7. 7. A Demountable curtain and valance unit substantially as described herein with reference to figures 1-4 of the accompanying drawings.
