Abstract

513,142. Ignition timing. CARTER CARBURETOR CORPORATION. May 28, 1938, No. 16005. Convention date, May 29, 1937. [Class 7 (iv)] The time of ignition is dependent on induction pipe suction adjacent to the carburetter throttlevalve, the suction being exerted through an elongated port 22 having its longer dimension inclined at an angle not exceeding 45 degrees to the adjacent edge of the valve.
