435,698. Admission pipes. GILBERT, H. G., Linslade, Pound Lane, Bowers Gifford, Pitsea, Essex. Feb. 26, 1934, No. 6135. [Class 7 (ii)] In an arrangement in which moist air is added to the combustible mixture, the two are separated as they flow through the induction pipe by a partition 7 which extends up to the cylinder port, the combustible mixture entering the cylinder on that side of the partition nearer the sparking plug. AT-member 1 is connected by opposite limbs to a moistening device and the carburetter, and between the limbs a partition 7 extends down the leg of the T-member where it is twisted through a right-angle as shown and bent up, either in front of, or behind, the valve guide 9. In a multi-cylinder engine the partition extends into each cylinder branch.
