511,955. Anti-side-tone circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., POCOCK, L. C., and ROBERTON, J. S. P. Feb. 25, 1938, No. 6025. [Class 40 (iv)] An anti-side-tone circuit comprises a 3-winding induction coil n1, n2, n3 and two auxiliary resistances X, Y all in series, the transmitter and receiver T, R being connected as shown. Part of the resistance X in conjunction with the usual condenser C may act as a spark quenching circuit for the dial. The Specification gives an expression for calculating the values of the components and an example of typical values. Preferably the windings are wound on the core in the order n2, n3, n1, or n1, n2, n3. The resistance X may be incorporated in the winding n3. Both resistances may be wound on the coil bobbin.
