Abstract

353,421. Substation circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. and LEE, A., Columbia House, Aldwych, London. April 17, 1930, No. 12192. [Class 40 (iv).] In an anti-side-tone substation circuit employing a three-winding induction coil, the windings P, S, S1 are connected in series as shown so as to be capable of construction as a four-terminal unit, the receiver F is connected in shunt across the third winding S1, and the switch-hook contacts CS are so arranged that the bell B is not normally short-circuited by the coil windings. The balancing high resistance r may be in the form of an additional non-inductive winding on the coil core or an extra resistance may be eliminated by suitably proportioning coil S1 Specification 146,880, [Class 40 (iv), Telephones &c.], is referred to.
