Abstract
448,011. Substation circuits. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and JONES, A. F., c/o General Electric Co., Ltd., Stoke, Coventry. May 31, 1935, No. 15849. [Class 40 (iv)] In an anti-sidetone circuit, the transmitter 11, which is in series with one winding 1 of the transformer, is shunted by two circuits, one of relatively high resistance through the second winding 2, and the other comprising a tapped resistance 7, 8 and a condenser 6 with the receiver 9 and the third winding 3 connected across a part of the resistance. The circuits shunted across the transmitter are such as to provide a relatively low impedance path for surge currents due to switchhook operation and other causes.
