535,181. Coupling alternating-current circuits. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., COLCHESTER, C. D., and STARR, A. T. Aug. 31, 1939, No. 25026. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] A circuit for coupling two input circuits 11, 12 serving different frequencies to a common output circuit o comprises impedance networks Z, Z1 and a resistance R connected as shown, networks Z, Z1 having a high impedance to currents of frequency 11,12 respectively and a low impedance to currents of frequency I2, I1, respectively. The resistance R is equal to the impedance of the output circuit, and the product of Z, Z1 is preferably equal to R2, the networks Z, Zl being inverse, suitable forms of which are shown in Figs. 4 and 5 respectively, in which the resistances may be omitted, Figs 2 and 3 (not shown). Expressions for determining the values of Z, Z1, and the constituent elements thereof are given. Four input circuits serving four frequencies may be coupled to an output circuit by coupling therein in pairs to two intermediate circuits which in turn are coupled to the output circuit.
