Abstract
631,742. impedance transformers. AMALGAMATED WIRELESS (AUSTRALIA), Ltd. Nov. 8, 1946, No. 33319. Convention date, June 19. [Class 40 (viii)] An arrangement for matching the imped. ance of a pair of parallel connected multiple wire transmission lines comprises a section in which the individual conductors of the lines are arranged alternately and symmetrically about a common axis at equal distances therefrom, and the conductors of either line may be simultaneously rotated about the common axis to vary the spacing between adjacent conductors. For example, two fourwire lines 2, 4, 6, 8, and 3, 5; 7 and 9, are provided with an eight-wire transformer section as shown in cross-section in the drawing.
