720,263. Transformers. POSTMASTER GENERAL. Jan. 10, 1952 [April 6, 1950], No. 8748/50. Class 38 (2). A four-terminal network having an amplitude/frequency response characteristic similar to that of a transmission line operating under high-frequency conditions, for use with repeaters or line amplifiers comprises two electromagnetically coupled coils 1, 2 separated by a conducting screen 3 of soft iron, nickel-iron alloy, zinc or copper, which forms a short-circuited turn. To avoid disturbing reflections a further screen 4 of similar material may surround the outer winding.
