Abstract

203,053. Round, H. J. May 31, 1922. Drawings to Specification. Receiving systems.-In a crystal detector circuit of the kind in which the crystal requires an auxiliary potential, the usual potentiometer is dispensed with and a resistance of the order of 100,000 ohms, or more is connected in series with the crystal and with a battery, the resistance and battery being shunted by a condenser capable of passing high and low frequency currents. The life of the battery is thereby lengthened, and no re-adjustment is required when the crystal is replaced by another of the same kind.
