Abstract
505,193. Forced - flow steam boilers. SULZER FRERES SOC. ANON. Nov. 5, 1937, No. 30407. Convention date, Nov. 18, 1936. [Class 123 (ii)] The transition zone in forced-flow tubulous steam boilers in which the working medium is converted from the wet into the superheated state forms a part of the tube wall screening the combustion chamber wall and is itself screened by a part of the tube system through which medium flows immediately before or after passing through the transition zone. Water supplied through a pipe 7 flows through two tube nests 8, 9, passing thence into a screening wall tube system 6 in which complete evaporation and superheating occur,-the transsition zone 16-17 being screened by the succeeding portion 18. The superheated steam is raised to working temperature in tube nests 13, 14.
