[Class 123 (ii)] Additional working medium is introduced into the boiler described in the parent Specification at a point or points 13a, 13b, in the tube where, during normal operation, superheating has commenced, and at least one liquid separator 20 is located in the system beyond those points. Discharge of liquid separated may be controlled in accordance with its level in the separator and the discharge pipe may have a throttling diaphragm to check discharge of steam. Or a liquid lock chamber may be interposed. Several separators in parallel may be employed. The tube system may comprise several tube lengths in parallel or several sets in series of such tubes.
