Abstract
403,032. Water-tube boilers. IKEDA, M., 235, Nichome, Okubo, Yodobashiku, Tokio. June 20, 1933, No. 17611. Convention date, Oct. 1, 1932. [Classes 123 (ii) and 123 (iii).] A steam superheater B arranged above a 3- or 4-drum water-tube boiler A and composed of two drums 8, 9 connected with slightly curved tubes 11, 12, has the drum 9 subdivided by a partition 10 so as to enable the superheater to be used as a feed-water heater if desired. In the latter application, feedwater enters the superheater from a pipe 15 and valve 141 and flows therefrom through a pipe 19 and valve 18 to the boiler in the usual manner.
