Abstract
481,783. Forced-flow steam boilers. LA MONT STEAM GENERATOR, Ltd. March 17, 1937, No. 7778. Convention date, March 17,1936. [Class 123 (ii)] In a boiler in which water in excess of steam output is repeatedly circulated by a pump 3, the water first passes through a lower group of tubes 6 subjected to greatly different degrees of radiant heat from the furnace and is then distributed to an upper group of tubes 8 which are, relatively, uniformly heated. The inlet header 5 of the lower tube group is integral with the outlet header 9 of the upper tube group and is separated therefrom by a partition 16. Steam and water mixture may pass directly to the drum 1, or it may first pass through heated sinuous tubes 11 connected to the drum by a tube 13. The pump is run at a constant speed at all boiler loads.
