[Classes 123 (ii) and 123 (iii)] The gases from two water-tube lined furnaces 11, 12 mix in a chamber A before passing over steam generating tubes 47 and superheaters 68, and the furnaces are regulated to produce unequal quantities of hot gases at loads below the full load on the boiler. Part of the hot gases may byepass the superheaters through a passage between baffles 80, 81, the flow through the byepass beimg controlled by dampers 76. Specification 532,787 is referred to.
