693,029. Water-tube steam boilers; superheaters. COMBUSTION ENGINEERING-SUPERHEATER, Inc. Aug. 20, 1951, No. 19561/51. Addition to 642,671. Classes 123 (ii) and 123 (iii) [Also in Group XII] In a steam boiler comprising a vertical furnace 16 which is lined with steam-generating tubes 20 and terminates at its lower end in a gas outlet 62 locating a convection superheater 13, regulation of the superheat temperature is effected by adjustment of the burners 22 which are mounted at the upper end of the furnace, preferably at the corners thereof to provide tangential firing, and are of a vertically tiltable type, e.g. as described in the parent Specification.
