Abstract

504,799. Vehicle opening-tops. BISHOP, W. H. Oct. 30,1937, No. 29692. [Class 108 (i)] In a sliding roof construction a channel member is secured transversely to the under side of the roof opening and similar channels, on which the sliding panel is guided, are secured along the sides of the opening and continued under the fixed part of the roof the ends of these channels being closed and provided with drain outlets. The panel 21, guided by members 24 which are . operated to lock the panel as described in Specification 463,749, slides on the channel members 12, which are connected by the transverse channel 13 and have drain channels 18 at their closed ends ; drain channels 19 are also provided at the ends of the transverse member. Tapered fillets may. be secured in line with the side channels, and the latter may be concealed by trimming secured to their inner edges. Specification 376,073, also is referred to.
