Doors for passenger vehicles.-In a saloon body for motor vehicles the hinged doors a, b in the body sides are provided at their upper ends with inwa.rdly curved extensions d which fit into corresponding cut away portions at the sides of a transversely curved roof n so that when the doors are open the effective height of the door openings is approximately that of the maximum internal height of the body. Ventilators e of the sliding panel or other type are arranged in the curved parts d of the doors. In their closed positions water-tight joints between the rebated edges f of the doors and longitudinal roof rails g are obtained by rubber or like strips h secured to the rails g, while gutters j projecting over the joints prevent entrance of water between the doors' and roof.
