Abstract

502,116. Sliding tables, seats, &c. ENSOR, C. A. Sept. 18, 1937, No. 25357. [Classes 52 (ii), 52 (iii), and 52 (v)] A bracket table, seat, or like article of furniture particularly for use in caravans is provided at its rear edge with one or more slide heads 2 disposed in the plane of. the table &c. top and engaging a horizontal guide rail 3 fixed to the wall of the caravan directly opposite the slide head and affording a sup. porting and sliding means for the whole rear edge of the article. As shown applied to a table 1 the guide rail 3 is secured to a batten 4 hinged to the wall 5 so that the table can be tilted upwards to remove the leg from the floor while sliding the table. The table has a folding extension leaf 6 and a slidably extending underframe 7. In a modification the slide head is of trunnion or spherical shape engaging a circular-section guide. The parts may be arranged to permit sliding action only. According to the Provisional Specification the article may be swung laterally.
