409,689. Chairs. TAYLOR, R. H., 15, Trafalgar Road, Birkdale, Southport, Lancashire. Nov. 2, 1932, No. 30827. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iii).] An upholstered chair has two sides 4, Fig. 2, of box construction, side rails 3<a> sloping downwardly from front to rear and slidably supporting a seat 7, a back 8 hinged to the seat and supported on a rail 9, springs 10 tending to draw the back into upright position, and an upholstered hinged section 5, Fig. 1, to one or both sides which normally folds on to the top of the side, but which can be folded back as shown to constitute, with the top 4<a> of the side, a table. Where one side only is adapted to form a table, the other side may be provided with a hinged section 6 which closes a space 4<c> adapted to serve as a storage compartment. A pipe-rack 4<d> may also be provided.
