Abstract

426,104. Cigarette &c. cartons. PIORNIK, L., 63A, Parkhurst Road, Holloway, and WINSTON, G., 3, Union Place, Curtain Road, both in London. May 29, 1934, No. 15985. [Class 18] A case or carton for cigarettes &c., is formed from a blank shaped as shown in Fig. 1, panel 2 forming the bottom, panels 4 the two sides, panels 8, 10 being folded as shown in Fig. 2 to form one end, the panels &c., being cemented in place, and panels 15 forming the other end, a lip being constituted by parts 16, 17, 18 engaging a lip 23 on the lid. The lid is constituted by a panel 3 forming the back, panels 8 forming the sides, panels 20 forming the top and strips 23, 23<a> forming a lip, the panels 20 being secured together and also the strips 23<a> and 23. The lid may if desired be separate, its limit being defined by the line 6. The parts 23, 23a and the projecting edge 18 form a securing device for the lid. The case may be in more than two pieces secured together with the lid hinged to the body, means for restricting the movement of the lid may be provided and spring means may be employed in opening the lid.
