Abstract

501,046. Valve circuits. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE. June 16, 1937, No. 16801. Convention date, June 16, 1936. [Class 40 (v)] In an amplifier, for amplifying pulses having steep leading edges (see Fig. 2), the impulses are fed to the grid over a resistance 12 which is bridged by a condenser 13 so that distortion of the wave due to the delay caused by charging the grid cathode space of the valve through resistance 12 is avoided. The ratio of the capacity of the condenser 13 to the capacity of the grid cathode space is inversely proportional to the ratio of the resistance 12 to the resistance of the grid-cathode path when grid current flows. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a multivibrator, Fig. 5 (Cancelled) in which resistances 19, 20 are connected in the grid circuits of one or both valves to make the anode potential curve of the other valve more square topped whilst the resistances are bridged by condensers 21, 22 to make the grid potential rise of the same valve steeper. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
