Abstract
431,461. Valve amplifying circuits. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. Oct. 2, 1933, No. 27077. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, April 3, 1934]. [Class 40 (v)] Manual or automatic volume control of an audiofrequency or radiofrequency amplifier or of a detector is effected by varying the potential applied to one or more auxiliary grids 5, 6 which may be arranged between the cathode 2 and the input grid 4. The electrodes 2, 5, 6 act as a virtual cathode, the position of which can be varied by altering the voltage on the grid 6, thus altering the slope of the characteristic while keeping it rectilinear.
