Abstract
501,017. Ice-making. ROSE, D., QUAIN, J. R., and WELSFORD, W. S. Aug. 17, 1937, No. 22551. [Class 29] Pure ice is made in moulds L by injecting. ozonized air into the water during the freezing operation, preferably until the whole of the water is frozen, through nozzles K in tho bottoms of the moulds. Air is passed through a filter A, a compressor B, an oil separator C and an ozone generator E and delivered through a flexible pipe C to a header pipe H. The ozone generator may be of the type comprising one or more cylinders of dielectric material with inner and outer aluminium gauze electrodes.
