Abstract
304,958. Du Bois, E. April 3, 1928. Solidifying.-Liquid carbon dioxide is delivered through a spiral pipe 9 and a conical nozzle 10 into a triple-walled chamber surrounded by an insulating casing 8. The solidified oxide is removed through a door 7. The remaining gas passes through a sheet 12 of fabric &c. and a perforated or reticulated sheet 11, and successively through the chambers 5, 6 and pipe 15 to the compressor. The nozzle is fitted with a double cone 10<1>. The door is closed by a bridge-piece or strap.
