Abstract
310,474. Deutsche Gasgliihlicht-Auer- Ges. April 26, 1928, [Convention date]. Centrifugal pumps.-The vaporized refrigerant from the evaporator 10 of a vacuum refrigerating machine is drawn through the pipe 9 and the ports 4 in the diffuser 3 of a centrifugal compressor 1 by liquid of greater density than the liquid refrigerant. The liquid is drawn through the pipe 6 from an air-cooled condenser tank 5, and forced over the ports 4 by the electrically-driven impeller 2, the mixture of liquid and refrigerant vapour being compressed in the diffuser and discharged into the tank.
