765,641. Refrigerating. DEUTSCHE WAGGON-UND MASCHINENFABRIKEN GES. March 16, 1955, No. 7735/55. Class 29 In a compression system having a throttling nozzle 9 between the condenser and the evaporator, the excess refrigerant which is circulated by the compressor after starting and while the evaporator temperature is being reduced and which cannot be passed through the nozzle 9, is supplied from the condenser outlet pipe 6 through a throttling nozzle 5 into a receiver 1 from which it flows under the control of a float actuated valve 13 through an additional throttling nozzle 10 to the evaporator. As shown the system includes a two stage compressor, the low stage of which exhausts through a pipe 2 to the receiver 1 where the vapour is cooled by the liquid refrigerant. The cooled vapour passes through filters 11 and a pipe 12 to the suction of the high pressure stage.
