Abstract
794,796. Refrigerating. DOLE REFRIGERATING CO. Aug. 8, 1956, No. 24299/56. Class 29 A compression refrigerating system is provided with a valve system permitting the compressor to run continuously at a constant speed. The compressor 14 and condenser 16 are mounted on a refrigerant receiver 10 as a removable unit, and the evaporator plates 20, preferably with the evaporator coils in vacuo or immersed in eutectic, are connected in groups to expansion valves 21 regulated by the temperature of the refrigerant in the outlet pipe of each group. A constant pressure regulating valve 40 is provided in the suction line to the compressor. Additionally, an automatic constant pressure valve 50 is provided in a by-pass from the high pressure to the low pressure sides of the compressor. A solenoid valve 30 responsive to the temperature of the refrigerated space may also be included. The system is shown as applied to a refrigerated railway van.
