Abstract

A method for recycling oil from the evaporator to the compressor of a compression refrigerating plant using an oil-soluble refrigerant, uses a flow of hot refrigerating gas from the h.p. side of the circuit to operate an ejector, thus removing the mixture of vapour and oil from the evaporator (low pressure) to the oil circuit, at higher pressure. Here the two components are separated, the coolant vapour passing to the suction line of the compressor, and the oil to the oil collector. The mixt. ratio between the hot gas used for the ejector and the liquid mixture of refrigerant and oil is adjusted such that only superheat is utilised, no condensation taking place of the gas in the ejector. Pref. the ejector is supplied from the vapour space of the condenser or from the delivery side of the compressor.
