499,488. Gear pumps; valves. EGERSDORFER, F. Jan. 19, 1938, No. 31380. Divided application. [Class 110 (ii)] [Also in Group XXVII] Fuel supply means for an internal-combustion engine comprises a gear pump, and radial ducts 36 and slots 37 in the pump driving shaft 6 which co-operate with further ducts 38 leading to the engine. The gears 4, 5 are fixed on the shaft 6, and mounted loosely on a bush 49, respectively. The pump delivery includes a ball non-return valve. A second ball valve is arranged in a byepass between delivery and suction conduits. Variation of the pump delivery is secured by moving the shaft 7 axially. This carries bushes 10, 11 and the gear 5 with it. A lever 31 may be connected with a governor or an accelerator.
