Abstract

407,546. Fuel - - injection pumps. BURGESS, A. F., 10, New Court, Lincoln's Inn, London.-(Aerol Engine Corporation ; 26, Washington Square, Newport, Rhode Island, U.S.A.) April 13, 1933, No. 11134. [Class 102 (i).] Viscous lubricant is circulated through a pocket 50 surrounding the plunger 23 of a fuel-injection pump, in order to carry away leakage fuel and air. The lubricant is supplied by a pump 34 through a passage 32 and descending passage 48 and is discharged through an ascending passage 51 and pipe 52 to the fuel reservoir 18. The pump 34 draws from a reservoir 36 through a port 45 controlled by the plunger, the latter being operated from the plunger 23 by means of a lever 40.
