Abstract

499,328. Supply meters. SANGAMO ELECTRIC CO. July 22, 1937, No. 20324. Convention date, April 12. [Class 37] A polyphase induction meter having a single .rotor disc is provided with a magnetic bridge between the separate driving magnet systems for the purpose of preventing unwanted torques upon the rotor due to the interaction of stray flux from one system and eddy currents of the other. On abase 26 is mounted a non-magnetic frame 27 carrying the driving magnet systems 12, 14, 12d, 14c, brake magnets' 17, rotor bearings, and the magnetic bridge-piece 25. The bridge 25 is in the form of an inverted U, its vertical limbs being parallel with the cores 12, 12d and its out-turned ends 25a, 25b being adjacent the surface of the rotor 16.
