Abstract

776,209. Eddy-current brakes. LANDIS & GYR AKT.-GES. April 1, 1955 [April 3, 1954], No. 9606/55. Class 35. A disc meter braking magnet system comprises two U-shaped permanent magnets 1, 2 sintered to a non-magnetic carrier 6 and arranged to define two air gaps 3, 4 for the passage of the disc. Alternatively, one of the permanent magnets may be replaced by a piece of ferromagnetic material 10 as in Fig. 2.
