[Also in Group XXIX] A liquid flow meter comprises a pair of discs 6 on a common spindle 7 and carrying inwardly directed magnets 8 between which the liquid carrying duct 1 passes, movement of the rotor being caused by the interaction of currents induced in the liquid and the magnetic flux between the magnets. The tube may be of conducting or insulating material, and it may be curved to follow the path of the magnets.
