Abstract
385,723. Eddy current brakes. ALLGEMEINE ELEKTRICIT€TS - GES., 2, Friedrich Karl-Ufer, Berlin. Dec. 5, 1931, No. 33811. Convention date, Dec. 6, 1930. [Class 103 (i).] An induction meter is compensated for temperature errors by providing an arm containing or comprising a material having a negative or other temperature coefficient with respect to magnetic permeability, the arm being secured to the brake magnet and having its free end carried round one pole thereof. As shown, the arm c is provided with an inset alloy portion d, the arm constituting a magnetic path in parallel with one pole of the brake magnet a. The arm is secured by a screw b which may serve also to attach the brake magnet, as well as to secure a fine adjustment device for regulating the braking torque.
