[Class 98 (i)] In a camera having a film-winding arm movable between two limiting positions, the arm is held by a latch adapted to be released on release of the shutter by means connecting the arm with a member for operating a shutter setting member. The arm 31 in the spool shaft 23 has a handle 38 engaging a seating 35 in its position of rest, and carries a disc 43 having a notch 48 engaged by a latch 49 pivoted to the casing and pressed by a spring 53 to hold the arm locked. The arm is connected by a flexible connection 55 to a slide 57 of the shutter mechanism which is of the type described in Specification 497,302, and includes a rotatable shutter-setting member 74 controlled by a spring 84. In the position shown the shutter is set, the member 74 being held by a trigger release 78. On releasing the shutter the member 74 rotates under the action of the spring 84 and during its motion a pin 75 thereon strikes a lug 76 on the slide 57 to tauten the connection 55 which presses against a flange 52 of the latch 49 to release the arm. A spring 94 maintains the latch in a released position after exposure. The arm is then free to wind the film and, as described in Specification 497,266, must make one complete movement in one direction thus causing the connection 57 to set the shutter. The shutter has the trigger locking mechanism described in Specification 497,316 and a diaphragm as described in Specification 497,301.
