496,777. Brassieres. PAYNE, L. A. C. Dec. 20, 1937, No. 35190. [Class 141] A breast support comprises elements 1 of a width to cover partially about two thirds of the lower surfaces of the breasts and formed of superimposed strips of cloth with openings 2 to receive insertions 3 of flexible semi-rigid material such as celluloid, the elements being sewn in openings 14 in a body portion 4 attached to a belt 6 provided with supporting shoulder strips 9 terminating in branches 10, 11 attached respectively to apices 12 and to a centre apex 13 on the body portion 4; transverse strips 16 connect lateral apices 17 on the body portion to the strips 9.
