Abstract
865,621. Brassieres. SARONG Inc. July 3, 1957 [May 1, 1957], No. 21116/57. Class 141 A brassiere comprises breast pockets 5, 6, side panels 9, 10, and freely crossed diaphragm bands 13, 14 of single or double ply material. The band 13 has its narrower end 22 secured to the side panel 9, the adjacent concave part 21 of its upper edge secured to the breast pocket 5, the slightly shorter concave part 24 extending freely below the breast pocket 6, and its wider end 25, including the elastic insert 26, secured to the opposite side panel 10; the band 14 is inversely arranged with respect to the band 13. Each band 13, 14 has a V-shaped notch in the central part of its upper edge in which is attached the lower portion of one of the triangular elastic sections 15, 19. The sections 15, 19 are secured to the breast pockets 5, 6 respectively along their inner edges. The breast pockets 5, 6 with their attached triangular sections 15, 19 are free of attachment to each other, and the bands 13, 14 are connected together only at their ends.
