Abstract

765,370. Brassieres. SYMINGTON & CO., Ltd., R. & W. H. Aug. 2, 1955 [Sept. 15, 1954], No. 26735/54. Class 141. A brassiere has a double front comprising an outer panel 10 incorporating the breast pockets, and an inner panel 11 stretchable in the horizontal direction and connected at the sides 16, 16<SP>1</SP> but not at top and bottom to the outer panel. The inner panel 11 preferably comprises non-stretchable end pieces 21, 22 and an elastic centre portion 23, while the outer panel 10 is made mainly of non-stretchable fabric with elastic inserts 15, 15<SP>1</SP> at its lower side edges. The inner panel may alternatively be composed entirely of elastic material stretchable in the horizontal direction.
