Abstract
495,486. Electric transformers. MARYLIN & CIE, GES., GEB. June 3, 1937, Nos. 15441 and 15442. Convention dates, June 4, 1936 and Jan. 13, 1937. [Class 38 (ii)] A transformer for supplying toy electrical devices has its windings arranged on a straight core, the turns of the secondary winding b being bared along an arcuate path f and a pivotally supported resilient lever arm d being arranged so that its end can be moved in contact with the secondary winding turns along the path f. The other end of the arm d moves over a contact segment h and may be arranged as shown to open the secondary circuit in one of its end positions. The secondary winding may be divided into several sections, one or more of which may be wound in a direction opposite to that of the others. A thermostatic switch s may be connected in the primary circuit and open this circuit when the primary current becomes too large or the temperature of the primary and or secondary winding rises above a desired value. The secondary winding may be shunted by a signal lamp o and may have tappings to which connection can be made through plug-in connections.
