Abstract
493,228. Protective arrangements. MASCHINENFABRIK OERLIKON. Aug. 4, 1937, No. 21544. Convention date, Aug. 5, 1936. [Class 38 (iv)] An earthing reactance coil comprises two parts A, B, Fig. 3, each having a plurality of tappings u1, v1, w1, u2, v2, w2 and the extremities m1, m2 of each part of the coil being each connected to any tapping of the other part so that the tapped turns of the two parts can be connected in parallel or series. In another arrangement, two associated coils are used, and each comprise two parts a, b, Fig. 4, the parts b being tapped at u1, v1, w1 and u2, v2, w2 respectively, the tapping points being connected symmetrically as shown to corresponding points on the parts a and means being provided for connecting the middle points m1, m2 to corresponding tappings of the respective series of tappings u2, v2, w2, u1, v1, w1.
