Abstract
492,781. Powder distributers. PINEGER, G. F. R. July 9, 1937, No. 19061. [Class 18] A powder-distributing con tainer has a delivery opening at its lower end normally closed by a manually operable valve 9 detachably secured or a stem 11 which carries agitating blades, perforated discs or arms 26 substantially wider than the delivery aperture and of which the upper end extends into a housing 16 on a detachable lid to the container where it is acted upon by a spring 18. The valve is screwed on to the stem or connected thereto by a tapered pin 22, and the arms 26 pass through the stem and are fixed by compressing the stem on each side. The container can be made of metal or synthetic resin and may be provided with an inspection window or the upper part may be made of glass. The container is supported from a wall by brackets 28, which latter may encircle the container, and the lid may be positively held on by a further bracket locked to the upper bracket 28 by a padlock. In a modification, the housing 16 projects into the container from the underside of the lid and the valve can be pushed up against the spring by means of a knob formed on the lower end of the valve.
