Abstract
485,647. Powder and liquid sprinklers. BERGERIOUX, R. Aug. 24, 1936, No. 23207. Void. Convention date, Aug. 23, 1935. [Classes 18 and 125 (iii)] A sprinkler for powders or liquids comprises a receptacle 1, Fig. 1, with a discharge opening controlled by a valve 4 to which an operating lever 7 is secured. The valve may be ball- or cone-shaped, and the lever is pivoted on a flat spring 6 or on a rod carrying a coil spring which presses the lever against a nut on the outer end of the rod. In a modification, the operating lever 14, Fig. 4, passes through a flexible diaphragm 15 and it is connected to a plate 12 on a rod 11, the other end of the rod carrying the valve 4. A spring 13 keeps the valve closed.
