491,004. Safety cut -off gas valves. WILSON GASMETERS, Ltd., G., (in Liquidation), WILSON, J. H., and MILLNER, F. Oct. 14, 1937, No. 33457/36. [Class 135] A safety cut-off valve for gas meters and other gas appliances comprises a valve 6 which is maintained open by the outlet pressure acting on a diaphragm 8 but is adapted to be closed in the event of failure of the pressure due, for example to taps being left open. A small adjustable byepass 17 is provided in the wall of the casing from the inlet to the outlet side of the valve so as to provide a small leakage to build up the outlet pressure when all the taps are closed and re-open the valve.
